Spectrophotometric Standards

NIST-Traceable Calibration Filters

AC-930 and AC-1930

These Spectrophotometric glass standards are intended for use as secondary standards for the verification of the transmittance and absorbance scales of visible absorption spectrometers. Each set contains 3 glass filters for the verification of transmittance and 1 clear holder for use as a balancing filter. The transmission value of each filter is certified by measuring it on a spectrophotometer that has been calibrated with standards that are directly traceable to the NIST. Each filter is mounted in a black anodized aluminum holder, which is compatable with the 1cm cuvette holder, that is supplied with most spectrophotometers. Individual filters are suppled with removeable shutters to protect the filter glass from damage. Every filter set is shipped with a Certificate of Calibration stating the transmission value of each filter at five different wavelengths (440nm, 465nm, 546.1nm, 590nm & 635nm). The transmission accuracy of each filter is certified to be within ±1%. All filter sets are shipped in black anodized metal cannisters which provides maximum protection during shipment and non-use. Each set of filters is also shipped in a custom shipping box, which may be used to return these filters for their 2 year recalibration.

AC-930: AC-1930: RECALIBRATION
The AC-930 filter set consists
of three individual absorption glass filters mounted in a metal
holder, and one blank holder which can be used as a balancing
filter. All filters are made of uncoated Schott NG-4 and NG-5
Filter Glass and are polished over the central 5mm X 20mm filter
area to a TWF of one wave or better at 633nm and parallelism
of 1 arc minute or better. The nominal transmittance values of
these filters are 10%, 20%, 30% and are sufficient to accurately
verify absorption spectrophotometers, with maximum spectral bandswidths
from 2.2nm to 6.5nm, for the five wavelengths at which the transmittance
values are certified.. Each filter is certified for transmittance
at five wavelengths: 440.0nm. 465.0nm, 546.1nm, 590.0nm, and
635.0nm.

Filter Glass and are polished over the central 5mm X 20mm filter

these filters are 1%, 3%, 50%, and are sufficient to accurately
verify absorption spectrophotometers, with maximum spectral bandswidths
from 2.2nm to 6.5nm, for the five wavelengths at which the transmittance
values are certified. Each filter is certified for transmittance
at five wavelengths: 440.0nm. 465.0nm, 546.1nm, 590.0nm, and
635.0nm.
The certification for each filter set is valid for a period of 2 years from the date of certification. The filters sets should be returned to Andover Corporation for cleaning and recalibration upon expiration of the certification period. Andover will supply a new Certificate of Calibration certifying the Transmittance Value and Transmittance Density of each filter at the original five wavelengths.

Contact the Quality Control Department of Andover Corporation at (888) 893-9992 (Toll Free) for a Recalibration Return Number.

Please use the original Andover shipping container when returning these filters for recertification.
