The supplier shall provide One (1) test specimen to Andover Corporation.  The test specimen shall come from the same manufacturing lot as the supplied parts.

ANDQA-2     (First Article Inspection Required)

A First Article Inspection (FAI) shall be carried out by the supplier at their facility that verifies all specifications dictated on the purchase order and/or referenced specifications. The results of the inspections or tests are to be recorded in a First Article Inspection Report and supplied to Andover Corporation with the tested part.

Andover Corporation shall be notified five (5) days prior to the inspection and given the opportunity to witness the FAI. Andover Corporation reserves the right to confirm the conformity of the supplier’s FAI report using in-house measurement or third-party verification.

Andover must give written approval of the FAI prior to the start of production.

ANDQA-3     (Certificate of Compliance Required)

Each shipment from the supplier’s facility must include a Certificate of Compliance, which shall include the following information at minimum:

The Certificate of Conformance MUST indicate conformance to all applicable item specifications and requirements referenced on the identified purchase order.

ANDQA-4     (Test Reports Required)

The supplier shall submit to Andover Corporation a complete copy of all test and inspection results that verify the specifications defined in the purchase order.  All reports shall be confirmed by the initials of an authorized person and delivered with each batch shipped.

If the specifications contain variable values with tolerances, the test report shall contain the actual values and the tolerances. Any ID/traceability data (manufacturing batch, serial number of the material tested etc.) shall also be contained in the test report.  If specific statistical techniques are required by Andover Corporation for testing, they shall be referenced on the purchase order and/or provided as an attachment.

All non-conforming material or parts shall be properly segregated from the acceptable material or parts presented for source inspection.
